SAT

SAT Program

Albayan Schools provide students with the high level of education, across a variety of subjects to prepare them for college. Whether they choose to continue their education in Lebanon or abroad, our students are always prepared for whatever entrance exams they need to proceed.

One such exam is the SAT, which our high school students prepare for within our curriculum at no extra cost.

The SAT is a multiple-choice test created and administered by the College Board and is used by most colleges and universities to make admissions’ decisions. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and to provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.

College admissions officers review standardized test scores alongside the student’s high school GPA, the classes they took, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays.

DELF

The DELF and DALF are diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates.

There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Our experience in delivering the DELF Program has produced distinguished results from our students. The DELF Program has been an essential part of our curriculum and is included at no additional cost.

ProtectED

When children feel safe, they are better able to learn, more likely to be open to new ideas, and can excel socially, spiritually and financially for their future success.

At Albayan Schools safety education is more than just teaching how to make safe choices.  Protect Ed™ is an essential part of our curriculum to help children live a better life. The program is delivered at no additional cost.

About Protect Ed™

Protect Ed™ is a multi-grade, multi-subject, flexible program that addresses the most critical issues in child safety today. For more than a decade, Kidproof, the publisher, has worked tirelessly in the quest to increase safety awareness and protect children on a global scale.

Protect Ed™ believes that there is nothing as precious as a child, and that we must continue to focus on preventative education to impact lifelong changes. It takes a community to truly keep children safe, which is why Protect Ed™ focuses on engaging and educating every stakeholder in a child’s life, including parents, educators and children themselves. This helps ensure that key messages are consistently reinforced throughout children’s lives.

Robotics

Robotics is gaining momentum in many schools worldwide. At Albayan School, teachers who administer courses in this area have advanced knowledge in programming and other skills and students are reaping the benefits, not just for the present, but also for the foreseeable future.

Robotics helps students to develop creative thinking, perseverance and teamwork, and at the same time they are introduced to the technology of the future.

Albayan Schools empower students to develop hands-on abilities and coding skills, bringing their innovative ideas to life. The robotics program provides integrated solutions including STEM learning tools, teaching materials, robot competitions and international exchanges for educators worldwide.

Our robotics program is designed to use robotics to enhance and enrich students’ science and maths learning experiences. Research shows that today’s students are motivated to learn when using new technology and connecting the learning to real-life applications.

The robotics curriculum at Albayan Schools is available at elementary, middle and secondary levels.

Extracurricular Activities and Trips

At Albayan Schools our extracurricular activities and field trips promote students’ academic, social, and personal development. Our activities include arts, athletics, theater, wellness, community service and almost any other subject that our students can be actively and productively involved in.

Some of our extracurricular activities include:

  • Sports. Playing on school teams, as part of an intramural team or in a club team outside of school.
  • Community Service. Participating in volunteer work either in the local community, on a national scale, or abroad.
  • Arts. Engaging in projects or performances in visual or performing arts.
  • Academic Activities. Participating in the maths or science clubs or competitions, joining creative writing groups, or being part of the science fair.

Our students have participated in a wide variety of beneficial extracurricular activities and experiences such as LAU MUN (LAU’s Model United Nations), a meditation activity by the Inner Peace Organization and ‘Zyara’, a web document-series that helped students accept others for who they are.
