Secondary (Grades 10, 11, & 12)

As your teenager approaches the end of school life, they begin to build a foundation for the university years ahead. Take the following steps to ensure a smooth registration process for secondary school:

  • Meet the Secondary School Head of Division and get answers to your questions and feedback about any of your concerns.
  • Visit the accounting department to inquire about fees, payment, and scholarships, etc.
  • Fill out a confidential form with your personal data along with any additional key information about your child.
  • Book a placement test to complete the evaluation process (acceptance is based on the evaluation of the child’s skills).

Assessment and examination:

An entrance evaluation (upon appointment) is compulsory in the three subjects of biology, mathematics, and chemistry or physics. The time allotted for the evaluation is 40 to 50 minutes. Teachers of each subject provide feedback and follow up with parents/guardians.

Approval criteria is based on a specific scale the student has achieved in the assessment.

Documents required:

  • Student’s Individual Civil Registration extract or a copy of the student’s foreign passport (if available).
  • A discipline report from previous school.
  • Academic records from the past year.
  • Any special evaluations carried out by a previous school or outside agencies, if applicable, must be presented.
  • Academic references from the student’s previous school, if applicable.
  • Medical records including vaccination records.
  • A school attestation that states the student’s class and final result.

Register:

Once you have completed the application process and submitted all the required documents, you will receive your child’s acceptance form. On completion of the form, you will need to make a down payment for admission fees in order to reserve your child’s place.

Once your child is officially accepted you will be sent a UNIQUE USERNAME AND PASSWORD to login to our school portal and school applications.

Please note the following:

  • Login Credentials are ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL and cannot be shared with others.
  • Sharing your credentials with others will prevent your child from accessing important features like live classes.
  • Immediately contact us if your credentials are accidentally lost or shared.
  • All parents/students are requested to download our school applications, eSchool Agenda and eSchool Connect on their tablets/iPad/phone from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Our applications can be accessed from any computer or laptop by visiting our website and clicking on “Portal Login”.
  • Windows users must use Google Chrome.
  • Mac users can use Safari or Google Chrome.
  • Our applications can be downloaded on multiple devices.
  • eSchool Agenda makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect both within and outside schools through live classes, chats and discussions. Agenda saves time and paper, and makes it easy to distribute assignments, calendar, exams, quizzes, and stay organized. 
  • eSchool Connect makes it easy for parents to receive messages from the school administration. Parents will also have access to grades, schedule, attendance, report card, etc.

Foreign Curriculum (High School System)

High school students follow the same assessment and examination process as Lebanese curriculum students mentioned in previous sections, according to their grade level.

Grade 1 to Grade 12 students can pursue the foreign educational system legally recognized in Lebanon and at Albayan Schools on the condition that they are exempt from the Lebanese curriculum under one of the following categories:

  • A Lebanese who studied abroad (law 29/73).
  • A non-Lebanese or a Lebanese who is a holder of another country's passport, and who has studied abroad or in Lebanon.

Students wishing to enter the high school system at Albayan must present:

  • An original ID and copy of passport.
  • Documents and school records from their previous school. All documents that are not in English must be translated into English prior to submission. Both the original and translated versions must be submitted.
