Complaints Policy and Procedures

The complaints policy and procedures are not limited to parents or guardians of students who are registered at the school. Any person, including members of the public, may make a complaint to Albayan School staff about any provision of facilities or services that we provide. Unless complaints are dealt with under separate statutory procedures, we will follow our school complaints procedure.

When addressing a complaint, all parties are expected to be considerate of each other’s views and respect each other’s role. They are required to be resolution focused, act in good faith, cooperate, behave with courtesy, and respect the privacy and confidentiality of those involved. As appropriate, they are expected to comply with any applicable legislation and department policy and seek reasonable resolutions.

The Head of Division or complaints committee will determine whether to uphold or dismiss a complaint. They will communicate their decision to the complainant, providing an explanation and details of the next steps.
